Ferguson Resource Group Ltd are currently recruiting for a Fire Project Manager to cover the East Region on behalf of one of our UK Defence Clients.

As Fire Project Manager, you will take ownership of fire safety projects valued above £25k — managing them from initial scoping through to successful handover. You'll ensure full compliance with statutory legislation, client requirements, and the highest health, safety, and environmental standards, while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships throughout.

Key Responsibilities:


•    Manage end-to-end delivery of fire safety projects valued over £25k.
•    Ensure full compliance with statutory legislation, MoD requirements, and HSE standards.
•    Conduct project scoping, planning, and delivery assessment.
•    Lead early warning and risk reduction meetings to proactively manage project issues.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders, including Heads of Establishments, to align project goals with client priorities.
•    Act as the central point of contact for all fire project delivery within your region.
•    Monitor project budgets and maintain commercial control to ensure cost-effective delivery.
•    Oversee supply chain performance, ensuring work is completed to required quality and timelines.
•    Report regularly on project milestones, progress, and risk mitigation.
•    Ensure projects are delivered efficiently, economically, and deliver value for money.

What You’ll Bring:

•    Significant experience managing multiple projects and contractors in a construction or fire safety environment.
•    Strong planning, organisation, and team coordination skills.
•    Excellent IT and administration capabilities.
•    Qualifications in passive fire and fire door inspection.
•    Management-level health and safety qualification (e.g., SMSTS)
•    Experience supervising site operations and managing resources to achieve outcomes.
•    Commercial awareness and experience overseeing budgets and supplier performance.
•    Strong stakeholder communication and relationship management skills.
•    (Desirable) Experience working with Maximo systems.
•    (Desirable) Project management qualifications (e.g., APM, PRINCE2)
•    (Desirable) Understanding of Defence or government contract environments.
