Ferguson Resource Group Ltd are currently recruiting for a Principal Commercial Manager on behalf of one of our Public Sector Clients. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Complex Facilities Business Unit. This is a Remote role that requires occasional travel across the Midlands and South of England. Are you an experienced Principal Commercial Manager (QS trained) with experience in Facilities Management and Planned/Reactive Contracts? We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Commercial Manager to support the Head of Commercial across the Midlands and south of England. You will be responsible for the coaching, development and recruitment of a commercial team and a role model for our Inclusion and Diversity policy, encouraging an open and honest environment. The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours based on Monday – Friday. You will be responsible for: • Maintaining commercial control to enable timely and accurate submissions of payment applications. • Producing accurate commercial reports and cost data • Monitoring and reviewing Supply Chain performance • Pricing works and maximising revenue opportunities. • Managing supplier payments in line with contractual and company policy • Working closely with procurement to engage and appoint specialist supply chain partners • Attending meetings, providing reports and liaising with all stakeholders on commercial matters • Assisting the Commercial & Risk Manager in preparing dispute avoidance strategy and any dispute resolution • Ensure Security and Fraud prevention systems and processes are adhered to at all time • Ensure good general knowledge of contract processes and procedures are always adhered to, advising and supporting as required • Identify business priorities and effectively plan and implement. • Maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders We want to hear from you if you have: • Commercial QS experience in Facilities Management, construction, property maintenance or related fields including: • Developing cost models • Risk Analysis & Management • Preparation of work proposals/tenders • Excellent working knowledge of commercial processes • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships and a collaborative working environment • Experience of working on complex, multi- site operations • Ability to analyse and report on key business data and metrics • Ability and willingness to travel • Membership of Professional Body • Utility & Carbon Reduction Training would be desirable What we can offer you: • Career Development - Exceptional development and progression plan • Pension – Generous Pension scheme which we will contribute to • Holidays - Minimum 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays • Choices - Our flexible benefits scheme is tailored by you, including buying additional annual leave, cycle2work scheme, charity giving and gym membership • Our online voucher portal gives you access to thousands of discounts from leading retailers to help you save on shopping, days out, or nights in.
